Leandra Ashton
Leandra trained on the three year acting degree at RADA and also has a BA Hons. in Modern and Medieval Languages (Spanish and Italian) from the University of Cambridge.
Actor, director, playwright: a natural communicator, Leandra is passionate about guiding people to unlock their creative potential and be the best they can.
She combines her theatre work with freelance performance coaching, and has over 12 years experience in this field. She has worked with a range of individuals and organisations from start-up entrepreneurs to board executives of multi-nationals, Local Government Leaders and The Armed Forces. Past clients include: Axa, the UN, Legal and General, Aviva, Nestle and Essence Digital.
As an actor she has performed across the UK and abroad, including for The National Theatre, Sheffield Crucible, The Arcola as well as performing Shakespeare’s largest female role, Rosalind in As You Like It across 32 states of America and Off Broadway. She has also worked on screen with guest lead roles for BBC and ITV.
Having established Flying Cloud Theatre in 2009 she recently produced the premiere of her first full length play, NAPOLI in association with West Yorkshire Playhouse, Turtle Key Arts and Arts Council England. The company’s new play ‘The Book’ will premiere at York Theatre Royal in June 2014 before touring the North of England.
